NU is a night of creative real life testimonies that explores the new and the unexpected, the turnabout and the return, the perseverance that shapes our character in the journey with God.
NU explores what faith looks like when God giveth and taketh away. NU takes us to the height of God’s blessings and the depths of searching for God in the valley.
NU PROJECT GUIDELINES: Each participant will have 7 min. to share a “creative testimony” of how you have lived by faith amidst the theme of the experiencing God’s blessings and then experiencing loss/trial/testing (the “N”) or how out of loss/trial/testing God brought you out of it (the “U”). The creative testimony must be both a.) creative and b.) a real life testimony i.e. it must use an original creative vehicle (ex. spoken word/fashion/graphic arts/dance/music/vid/photography/etc.) that helps convey a real life theme/story of the person presenting. Within the 7 min. time frame, the presenter should combine a.) one part creative expression of their chosen theme, b.) one scripture and c.) one part verbal explanation of their theme.
#1.) chose to tell your story with the theme of “N” (where your journey went from good to bad) or the “U” (where your journey when went from bad to good).
#2.) select a scripture that explains your theme.
#3.) identify a creative vehicle to express your theme.
#4.) determine how you will best express creatively your theme v.s. verbally explain your message within the 7 min. timeframe.
#5.) communicate your chosen theme/creative vehicle to firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as you have decided
#6.) (note: non-live submissions under the project guidelines will also be accepted and be displayed the night of NU as an alternative option)
